Larry Lamar Sandridge, 80, of Broken Bow, passed from this life August 7, 2019 in Paris, TX. Larry was born August 16, 1938, in Broken Bow, OK, to Lemuel Lamar and Audrey Inez (Nelson) Sandridge.
Larry was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Broken Bow and grew up in Broken Bow; graduating from Broken Bow High School in 1956. After graduating high school, Larry proudly served his country in the United States Army and Navy, as an aviation electrician. He served in United States Navy on the U.S.S. Thetis Bay LPH-6 helicopter carrier. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, metal detecting, and attending different auctions. Larry was a gun enthusiast. He enjoyed visiting historical sites, as well. Larry was known as a walking encyclopedia to most. Larry could fix just about anything electronically. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 8. Larry retired from Koomy-Stewart & Stevens, NL Shaffer-Texas criminal justice system.
Larry married the love of his life Alfreda Whitfield at the Assembly of God Church in Broken Bow, on September 18, 1958. They spent a wonderful 55 years together until her death in March of 2013.
Larry was preceded in death by his loving wife, Alfreda; parents, Lemuel and Audrey Sandridge; and brother, Jim Sandridge.
Larry leaves to cherish his memory his son, Clint Lamar Sandridge, and wife, Monika, of Baytown, TX; daughter, Yvette Livesay, and husband, Wayne, of Garvin, OK; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Sue Severn, of Wright City; brother-in-law, Robert Whitfield, and wife, Susie, of Golden; sister-in-law, Glenda Sandridge; four grandchildren, Samantha, Tabbitha, Mahala, and Mikah; great-grandchildren, Poppy, Sloan, Violet, Ricky, Jazmine, and Daisy; nephews, Marty White, and wife, Pam, Blake Whitfield, and wife, Alicia, and Jimmy Cupit, and wife, Shelly; niece, Julie Passmore, and husband, T.J.; a host of other relatives and many friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday, August 15, 2019 at 10:00AM, at the Brumley Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Bow, OK.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 14, 2019 from 4:00-6:00PM, at the Brumley Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Bow, OK.
