Obituary

Vera Mae Eyachabbe, of Wright City, passed from this life on January 3, 2021 in Idabel.  Vera was born January 21, 1949 in Wright City to Hickman and Alzira (Columbus) Wallace. 

Vera was affiliated with Luksokla Presbyterian Church of Wright City.  She had lived in McCurtain County all of her life.  Vera enjoyed sewing, dancing and singing, and doing for others.  She loved her family and being with them. 

Vera was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Mary Alzira; brothers, Mitchell Ray Wallace, Hickman “Slick” Wallace, Jr., and Billy Wallace; and sister, Helen Wallace.

Vera is survived by her son, Mark Eyachabbe, of Wright City; brothers, Ricky Wallace, of Wright City, and Tony Wallace (Sarah), of Hugo; sisters, Louise Laney (Wyley), of Idabel, Patricia Wallace, of Paris, Sandra Wallace, of Paris, Susan Wallace, of Hugo, and Bobbie Wallace, of Tyler; special cousins, Phebe (Billy) Harley, of Broken Bow, Joyce (Lee) Watkins, of Meade, OK, and Barbara Wallace, of Miami, OK; many special nieces and nephews; special friend, Nancy Causey, of Wright City, along with many other special friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Monday, January 11, 2021 at 2PM at the First Baptist Church of Wright City with burial to follow at Slater Memorial Cemetery.  Family visitation will be Saturday, January 9, 2021 from 3-5PM at the funeral home.
