Thelma Lucille Carnathan peacefully passed from this life on October 14, 2020 at her home in Mt. Herman, OK. She was born on November 6, 1947 in Ardmore, OK to Jim, Sr. and Ollie Snow. She spent her childhood in Lone Grove, OK later moving to McCurtain County where she spent the remainder of her life.
Thelma was a very patriotic person who revered the USA and the Flag. She was a member of the Eastern Star. Her family remembers her as “an independent and determined lady”. She was even known for taking vacations by herself—She went to places like Branson, Old Mexico, and the Grand Canyon. But the most important thing in her life was her faith in Jesus Christ. She was a longtime member of the Battiest Baptist Church, and her friends testify to her faithfulness, devotion, and sacrificial giving. She lived a good life, and she will be missed.
Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Carnathan; her parents; and a niece, Crystal Snow.
Left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Jim Snow, Jr. (wife, Anna) of Lone Grove, OK and Gene Snow of Ardmore, OK; along with numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, friends, and her beloved church family.
Graveside services were held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 16, 2020 at the Bethel Cemetery in the Bethel, OK Community.
Services were under the direction of Brumley Funeral Home in Broken Bow, OK.
