Russell Lee Lecrone, better known as Rusty or Ace, 51, of Redland, passed from this life on June 19, 2021 in Plano, TX. Rusty was born December 16, 1969 in DeQueen, AR to Fred Gene and Clyde Ann (Sherrer) Lecrone. He lived all his life in McCurtain County.
Rusty was of the Baptist Faith. He enjoyed golfing, riding horses and riding around with his great companion pet dog, Todd. Rusty also enjoyed dirt track races, watching Nascar on tv and hanging with his buddies.
Rusty married Gladene Smalling on July 20, 2004 in DeQueen, AR. They enjoyed working together in North Dakota, Colorado, and New Orleans while he worked as a welder. They also loved travelling, riding horses, fishing and camping together.
Rusty is preceded in death by his father; and his “Granny T”, Thelma Dean Sherrer.
Rusty leaves to cherish his memories his best friend, Gladene of Broken Bow; his mother, Ann Lecrone of Broken Bow; his daughters at heart, Caitlin Smith of Broken Bow, and Gema Autrey (husband, Patrick) of Wright City; brothers, Chris Lecrone (wife, Jackie) of Idabel, Butch Lecrone (wife Joanie) of McAlester, Curtis Lecrone (wife, Debra) of Searcy, AR; sisters, Jacey Buchanan (husband, Brian) of Broken Bow and Amy Lecrone of Wright City; aunt, Linda Fuller (husband, Roy Dean Fuller); uncle, Terry Lee Sherrer; numerous nieces and nephews; special cousins, Michael Terry Sherrer of DeKalb, TX, Terry Lee Sherrer, Bosco Gamble, Brad Pannell, Larry DeTar, and Pat Baird; special friend and neighbor, Jimmy Smalling of Redland; along with many other special family members and friends.
Gladene would like to extend a special “Thank you” to Rusty’s friend, Terry Pannell.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 23, 2021 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Brumley Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Graveside service will be 3:00 PM at Redland Cemetery with Brother Jimmy Smalling officiating. Pallbearers will be Brad Pannell, Michael Sherrer, Terry Sherrer, Butch Lecrone, Chris Lecrone, and Curtis Lecrone.
