Peggy Jean Sisk, of Broken Bow, OK, was born on August 15, 1939, in Nashoba, OK, to John Albert and Dolly Pearl Scarberry. She passed from this life on Monday, March 30, 2020 at the age of 80.
Peggy was a lifelong resident of the McCurtain and Pushmataha County areas.
She was a member of the Clebit Baptist Church.
She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She enjoyed watching baseball and basketball, playing softball, and going bowling. She thoroughly enjoyed being outdoors and building a good fire—if anyone could find a pine knot, Peggy could, and she’d burn it. Also, Peggy believed that memories were an important thing, so she cherished her collection of pictures. She was a collector of numerous different odds, ends and knickknacks, and some may recall that she owned her own gift shop, Peggy’s Browse About, for several years. She also loved potting and taking care of plants, and her front porch was always filled with them. Her favorite color was red, and so her favorite flower was the beautiful red rose. And she adored her cat, “Neimus”.
Simply put, Peggy loved life and lived it to the fullest with nothing holding her back.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-two years, Bob Sisk;
parents, John & Dolly Scarberry;
sisters, LaVerne Madewell & Lavon Smith;
brothers, Willard Scarberry, Odus Scarberry, Tony Scarberry & Ellis Scarberry;
