Mozelle Maddox

May 1, 2021

Mozelle Maddox, of Idabel, went to be with the Lord May 1, 2021.  Mozelle was born December 14, 1935, in Hugo, OK, to William and Mabel (Benson) Baldwin.

Mozelle was a member of the First Baptist Church of Idabel and graduated from Valliant High School in 1949.  She married the love of her life Edward A. Maddox on April 21, 1956, in Valliant, OK.

Mozelle believed in giving without remembering and taking without forgetting.  She was often found doing things for others, asking nothing in return.  Mozelle and Ed cooked many meals for people and delivered them as well.  Mozelle was always a loving and giving woman.

Mozelle is survived by her husband, Ed Maddox, of the home; daughter, Debbie Kruse, and husband, Brian, of Blossom, TX; grandchildren, Sierra and Taiwa Kruse, also of Blossom, TX; and a host of cousins and other relatives, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mabel Baldwin; and twin brother, Billy Neal Baldwin.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Wednesday at 2:00PM at Brumley Funeral Home Chapel with Jim Staggs officiating.  Burial will follow at Valliant Cemetery.
