Obituary

David Mike Sweet, 51, of Idabel, passed from this life on November 5, 2020 at his residence.  Mike was born March 15, 1969 in Garland, TX, to David Allen and Donnie Lou (Morris) Sweet.

Mike had lived in Broken Bow since 2011 coming from Quinlan, TX.  He was known as the publisher of Good Times Gazette and three books:  Lots of Lil’ Bits & Pieces, Best of the Good Times, and Good Times Gone Bad.  Mike was loved by all who knew him.  He was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan and was known around the county as Sweet Realty.

Mike married Michelle Knightstep on February 14, 2011 in Quinlan, TX.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, David Allen Sweet; and his grandparents.

Mike leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Michelle, of the home; mother, Donnie Sweet, of Broken Bow; son, Dan Sweet and wife, Stephanie, of Tulsa; bonus children, Alesha Young, of DeQueen, and Michael Young, of Wichita Falls, TX; brothers, Tim Sweet and wife, Belinda, of Durant, Dowl Anderson, of Broken Bow, and Kenneth Sweet, of Wylie, TX; grandchild, Harrison Sweet; several nieces and nephews; a host of other relatives and friends, including his lifelong friend, Mike McVea and wife, Jancie, of Frisco, TX.

A Visitation will be for friends and family at Brumley Funeral Home, Monday, November 16, 2020 from 4-6PM.  Please come and share your stories of Mike.
