Mary Lynette Taylor, of Broken Bow, passed from this life surrounded by her loving family on July 8, 2020 at her home. Mary was born June 1, 1934, in Vinton, Iowa, to Lewis Raymond (L.R.) and Helen (Carter) Heisler.
Mary was of the Presbyterian Faith and had lived in McCurtain County for the last 34 years coming from Gainesville, TX. She enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles in her spare time. You could also find Mary watching game shows on tv. Mary loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She also loved her four-legged child, Missy, as well.
Mary married Tom Taylor in Ft. Worth, TX, on December 10, 1977.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Rusty and Helen Heisler; and a brother, Richard Heisler.
Mary leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Tom, of the home; children, Sheri Kennedy, and husband, Charles, of Whitesboro, TX, Julie Mitchell, and husband, Doug, of Gainesville, TX, Darren Taylor, and wife, Lisa, of The Colony, TX, Derrick Taylor, and wife, Melessia, of Idabel, and Damon Taylor, and wife, Marinda, of Broken Bow; fifteen grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends, including two special ladies, Pam Loman and Christy Towery, both of Broken Bow.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the Taylor family has asked donations to be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Shriners Hospital for Children.
