Mary Frances Bohanan, of Battiest, passed from this life September 24, 2020 surrounded by her loving family at her home. Mary was born October 26, 1957 in Talihina to Robert Roy and Melissa (Peters) Bohanan.
Mary was of the Presbyterian Faith and had lived in McCurtain County all of her life. She enjoyed fishing, being with her grandchildren, and sports such as softball, volleyball, and cornhole. She could always be found at the Choctaw Nation Senior Citizens playing chair volleyball and spending time with her friends. Mary loved being with her nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her father, Robert Roy Bohanan; three sisters, Eunice Bohanan, Linda Jefferson, and Margaret Ludlow; and a brother, Virgil Bohanan.
Mary is survived by her loving mother, Melissa Bohanan, of Bethel; son, Robert Bohanan, of Battiest; daughters, Amber Bohanan, of Battiest, and Abby Bohanan, and, Julio Olvera, of Watson; brothers, Herbie Bohanan, and Marvada, of Pickens; brother-in-law, Austin “Shot” Jefferson, of Bethel; sister-in-law, Carolyn Bohanan, of Wright City; sisters, Lois Bohanan, of Bethel, Emmy Baker, and Andy Perez, of Holly Creek, Betty Tom, and Jimmy, of Broken Bow, and Brenda James, and Tony, of Boswell; grandchildren, Ava, Katalina, Katrina, Mariela, Matthias, Izayah, and Jayden; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece who was like a daughter, Shiloh Bohanan, of Bethel; a host of other relatives and many friends, including a special friend, Linda Benefield Walthall, of Bethel.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will take place at a later date. Please keep the Bohanan family in your thoughts and prayers during this time of loss. Ms. Mary will be missed by all who knew her.
