Linda Kay Woods, 70, of Haworth, passed from this life June 16, 2021, in Dallas, TX. She was born November 27, 1950, in Bokoshe, OK, to Oscar W. and VivaLee H. (Sherrell) Woods.
Linda was affiliated with the Victory Life Church of Broken Bow and had lived in McCurtain County most of her life. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, collecting roosters, and spending time spoiling her dog, Rowdy, whom she loved dearly. She enjoyed family reunions and being with her children and grandchildren; Linda loved to make people laugh. She enjoyed singing, watching Pastor Jimmy Jeter on YouTube, and she loved her Lord most of all.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Carol Burton; nephew, Jamie Paul Wright; and her grandparents.
Linda leaves to cherish her memory, to her children, Paul Hammonds, of Haworth, Kathy Hammonds, of Haworth, Jeanie McGrath, and husband, Kevin, of Southaven, Mississippi, and Robert Leslie Hammonds, and wife, Jamie, of Texarkana, AR; brothers, Wayne Woods, and wife, Phyllis, of Franklin, KY, Kenneth Woods, and wife, Debbie, of Broken Bow, and Tony Woods, of Spiro, OK; sisters, Patricia Ann Carney, of Alma, AR, Debra Jo Jackson, of Broken Bow, and Diane Avery, and husband, Todd, of Spiro; grandchildren, Emily Hammonds, Amber Johnson, and husband, Dickie, Amanda Hendricks, Daniel Hendricks, Justin Jeffrey, and wife, Christian, Jacob Jeffrey, Jordan Jeffrey, Jacklyn Jeffrey, Mason Hammonds, and Micah Hammonds; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special uncle, Paul Camp, of Broken Bow; many aunts and uncles, and special cousins, along with many friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be Tuesday at 2PM at Charity Baptist Church, Broken Bow, with Pastor Jimmy Jeter officiating and Wayne Woods assisting. Burial will follow at Watson Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Justin Jeffrey, Jordan Jeffrey, Mason Hammonds, Micah Hammonds, Johnny Boulton Jr, Kaden Vance, and Kevin McGrath.
Visitation will be Monday, from 6-8PM at Brumley Funeral Home.
