Kenneth Eugene Crosby, 55, of Wright City, passed from this life August 27, 2020 in Lufkin, TX. Kenneth was born March 3, 1965, in Talihina, to Arthur Leo Crosby, Sr., and Lorene Ruth (Baker) Crosby.
Kenneth was a member of the Chihowa I Chukka Assembly of God Church in Wright City and had lived in McCurtain County the last 13 years coming from Bunch, OK. Kenneth enjoyed preaching, singing, serving Jesus, and playing instruments, such as: guitar, piano, and bass. He liked to fish, build fires in his front firepit, cooking, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and his church family. Kenneth was a jokester and enjoyed joking around. He liked chopping wood and doing carpentry work in his younger days.
Kenneth married Elizabeth (Ann) Overturf on June 3, 1995, in the Family Life Center, in Joplin, Missouri. Kenneth and Ann enjoyed traveling, going to Wal-Mart, and strolling around Wright City together – “Making their rounds.”
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Crosby, Sr. and Lorene Ruth Crosby; stepmom, Sally Crosby; brother, Arthur Crosby, Jr.; sisters, Glenda Crosby and Karen Crosby; and brother-in-law, Paul Battise.
Kenneth leaves to cherish his memory, to his loving wife, Ann Crosby, of the home; son, Ethan Colby Crosby, and wife, Caitlin, of Broken Bow; daughters, Karen Ann Crosby and Loren Ruth Crosby, both of Wright City; brothers, Alfred Crosby, and special friend, Ruth Ibarra, of Wright City, and Anthony Crosby, and wife, Louella, of Philadelphia, MS; sisters, Brenda Battise, of Wright City, Vickey Clark, and husband, William, of Clarksville, Gloria Battiest, and husband, Lawrence, of Garvin, Angela Crosby, of Wright City, and Anita Ishcomer, and husband, Jamie, of Wright City; sister-in-law, Sharen Crosby, of Elton, LA; mother-in-law, Rebecca J. Burrow-Overturf, of Broken Bow; father-in-law, Lee Olen Overturf, Jr. and his spouse, Cheryl,; sister-in-law, Docia Marie Nave, and husband, Eric, and their family, of Utah; sister-in-law, Michelle Denise Haney and her family, of Austin; four grandchildren, Zaiden Lee Gonzales-Crosby, Aubrii Lamphier, Joshua Lamphier, and Grayson Lee Scott; a host of nieces and nephews including special niece and nephews, Bear Wesley, of Wright City, Wyatt Wayne Wesley, of Wright City, and Kailynn Skye Wesley, of Broken Bow; best friends, Lester Nuckolls, of Alma, AR, and Richard Ferguson, of Bokoshe, OK; Clayton Anna, of Wright City, and Presley Battiest, Jr. ,of Garvin, along with other friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday, September 3, 2020 at 2:00PM at the Chihowa I Chukka Assembly of God Church in Wright City, with Lester Nuckolls officiating. Burial will follow at Slater Memorial Cemetery, Wright City.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 2, 2020 from 6-8PM at the Chihowa I Chukka Assembly of God Church.
