Johnie Mae Beam Anderson, 87, of Durant, OK, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, February 12, 2021. She was born October 1, 1933, in the Oak Hill Community, the daughter of Henry and Ida Beam.
Johnie grew up in the Broken Bow and Ada areas; graduating from Ada. She married Lloyd Reydon Quinton and lived in Ada. Eventually, they moved to Albuquerque, NM. In 1975, she moved to Seattle, WA and married Laurel Anderson. In later years, she moved to Tulsa, then back home to Broken Bow where she was very involved in the Home Community Education group and the genealogical society at the local library. In 2009, she moved to Durant.
Johnie is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Ida Beam.
Johnie leaves to cherish her memory her children, Tom Quinton, of Albuquerque, Mike Quinton, of Las Cruces, NM, and Chris Stow, and husband, Windell, of Durant; four grandchildren, Jon and David Quinton, Melissa Stow Garrett, and Angie Stow; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 2PM, at the Brumley Funeral Home Chapel, with a friends and family gathering starting at 1PM.
