Jerry Ross Storey, age 84, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma died, Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Mercy Hospital Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born on Tuesday, August 18, 1936 to Sant and Oreatha Benson Ross in Eagletown, Oklahoma.
Jerry attended Broken Bow High School and in 1952 married the love of her life J.D. Storey at Fort Bragg in North Carolina. She had three sons, Jim Storey, Joe Storey and Steve Storey who she loved all her family with all of her heart. Jerry worked at Broken Bow Flowers and Gifts for 30 years where she loved her job and customers. Jerry loved birds and animals especially all the dogs she had during her life. She also liked doing yard work, going fishing and was a avid reader. Jerry loved her Oklahoma Sooners and was of the Baptist faith. Jerry was a loving mother, aunt and friend and will be loved and missed by all who knew her.
Jerry is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Storey; her two sons, Joe and Steve Storey in 2004 and four sister.
Jerry is survived by her son, Jim Storey of Broken Bow; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Pat Mitchell and a host of other relatives and friends.
A private graveside service was held on Monday, October 11, 2021 at Hochatown Cemetery under the direction of Brumley Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Anyone wishing to make memorials can be made to the Animal Rescue and Kare of McCurtain County, P.O. Box 1023 Broken Bow, OK. 74728.
