Glena Jean (Oakley) Rhodes Dollar was born on April 5, 1934, in Retta, TX, to James Henry and Minnie Beatrice Oakley. She passed from this life on September 30, 2020 in Seminole, TX.
Glena was a homemaker all of her life and lived most of it in McCurtain County. She loved the Lord and enjoyed fellowshipping with her church family and friends and spending time with family. She was an avid Bible reader and prayer warrior. Glena had a huge heart with a great love not only for her family but for everyone and always made her home a welcome Haven to those in need. She had a mischievous sense of humor and loved to laugh. She enjoyed being outside, on the water, fishing and bird watching.
Glena was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband and the father of her children, Buddy Rhodes; her second husband, Melvin Dollar Sr.; sons, Leon Rhodes, Timmy Rhodes, Austin Rhodes, and Thurman Boyd Rhodes (and wife, Deanna); daughters, Neva Howard and Bonnie Rhodes; along with several brothers and a sister.
She is survived by a son, Jammy Rhodes (wife, Charolette) of Seminole, TX; daughters, Linda Inman (husband, Bobby) of Idabel, OK, Marsha Fancher (husband, Del) of Broken Bow, OK, and Daisy Rhodes of Seminole, TX; brother, Cecil Brown (wife, Rosella) of Cove, AR; sister, Nelda Glover of Lockesburg, AR; along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
A visitation/viewing will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Sunday, October 4, 2020, at Brumley Funeral Home of Broken Bow, OK.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on October 5, 2020, also at Brumley Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at the Broken Bow Cemetery.
