Obituary

(Theresa) Fay Shomo, 65, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma died on December 5, 2021, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on Tuesday, September 14, 1956, to Jimmerson and Annie Mae Wilson in Oak Hill, Oklahoma.  

Fay loved her family and living life to the fullest.  Fay was a member of the Tohwali Methodist Church in Oak Hill for many years.  She enjoyed listening to old country music, collecting rocks and arrowheads, cooking for her family; food like banaha, fry bread, pinto beans, fried potatoes and her famous biscuits. She was a mother that took care of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Fay was a loving mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend that will be missed and loved by all who knew her. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Deroy Shomo; her daughter, Leslie Shomo; her sisters, Sarah Salisbury, Shirley Wickson and Betty Morales; her brothers, Jimmy Willis, Charles Willis and Michael Willis.

Fay is survived by her son, Franklyn Shomo and wife, Cassandra of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her daughters, Carrol James of Collinsville, Oklahoma and Frances Shomo of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; her brother and sister-in-law, Andrew and Darlene Willis of Oak Hill, Oklahoma and Nathan Willis of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; Minnie Jones of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, December 9, 2021, at 2:00 P.M.  at the St. Matthew Cemetery in Broken Bow, Oklahoma with Brother Stanley Shomo officiating. A wake service will be held Wednesday, December 8, 2021, from 5-7 P.M. at the Brumley Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.  Arrangements entrusted to Brumley Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
