Emma (Tidmore) Tatum passed from this life on January 19, 2021 in Paris, TX. Emma was born on April 17, 1940 in Idabel, OK to Hezekiah and Jennie Tidmore, and she spent her entire life in McCurtain County.
Emma was a member of the Church of Christ in Golden, OK, and attending church was a great joy of hers. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, watching Wheel of Fortune (and other gameshows) and murder mysteries on TV, and reading.
In 1962, Emma married Billy Joe Wells in Idabel, OK, and they enjoyed 36 years of marriage until his passing in 1998. Then, in 2002, she married Ben Tatum in De Queen, AR, and they enjoyed 4 years of marriage until he passed in 2006.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; brothers, David Tidmore, John Tidmore, and Frank Tidmore; and sisters, Dorothy Imoe and Evelyn Williams.
She is survived by her son, Ricky Wells (wife, Kimberly) of Ft. Worth, TX; daughters, Myrna Michelle Kirkpatrick (husband, Kevin) of Idabel, OK, Sheila Callaway of Pickens, OK, Angela Brabbs (husband, Jerry) of Richardson, TX, and Tammy Reese (husband, Brandon) of Augusta, GA; sister, Minnie Bell Lewis of Valliant, OK; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nephews, nieces, other extended family members and friends.
A Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM on Friday, January 22, 2021 at the Brumley Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow, OK.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the Brumley Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow, OK.
Interment will follow at the Watson Memorial Cemetery in the Oak Hill Community.
