Earlene Marsh Cunningham, of Broken Bow, passed from this life August 16, 2021 at McCurtain Memorial Hospital. Earlene was born January 9, 1935, in Holly Creek, to Ervin Marsh and Opal Dee (Massey) Buchanan.
Earlene was an excellent cook; a skill she learned from her mother. She was famous for her hot rolls at meals she loved to cook. She enjoyed gardening and planting flowers. She always raised a big garden every year. She would can and freeze enough to supply for her family through out the winter. Her favorite past time was reading and fishing. Earlene nearly had the patience of Jobe. Her family was the most important thing in her life besides God. Earlene knew her Bible and she read it often. She would watch Shepards Chapel and The 700 Club daily on television, as well as other ministries.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ervin Buchanan and Opal Tillery; husband, Wilber Carl “Pete” Cunningham; son, James Carl Cunningham; daughter, Jeanette Dee (Cunningham) Moore; daughter-in-law, Lorraine Cunningham; step-father, James Tillery; sister, Dovie Jean (Buchanan) Blankenship; and brother, James Travis Pryor.
