E. Dwain Pollard, 76, of Broken Bow, passed from this life December 17, 2020 in Paris, TX. Dwain was born to Elmer and Dorothy (McCuan) Pollard on November 5, 1944 in Octavia.
Dwain had lived in Broken Bow for the last 47 years. As most knew him as a CPA; he owned an office in Broken Bow at one time, but mostly in Idabel. He was an avid reader; owning more than 25,000 books. He also enjoyed watching movies and traveling. Dwain had recently become a member of the NRA in the last few years.
He married the love of his life, Linda Joy Youngblood on August 11, 1966 in Plunketville, OK. They enjoyed doing life together. You never saw one without the other. They were married for 36 years until her passing in 2002.
Dwain was preceded in death by his wife, Linda; parents, Elmer and Dorothy Pollard; and a brother, Dale “Bud” Pollard.
Dwain is survived by his loving daughter, Laurie Pollard-Blevins, and her husband, Roger O. Blevins, of Gilbert, AZ; sisters, Crettia Jane Pollard-Whisenhunt, of Gillham, AR, Sheila Pollard-Basham, of Idabel, and Sherry Pollard-Nichols, and husband, Lowell, of Octavia; his many nieces and nephews, including a special great niece, Serena Alexandria Basham, of Idabel; special friends, Jesse Tucker, of Broken Bow, Dale Cook, of Broken Bow, Lloyd Garrett, of Idabel, Virginia White, of Broken Bow, and Kay Hamilton, of Paris, TX; his many clients, and many friends.
The family has asked in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Serena Bashams’ honor to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
A Celebration of Life Service will be Monday, December 21, 2020 at 11AM with visitation starting at 10AM, at the Brumley Funeral Home Chapel.
