Obituary

Donald Rodney Nobles, age 57, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, departed this life on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Paris Regional Medical Center in Paris, Texas, in the presence of both his daughters and his son in law. He was born on Wednesday, June 17, 1964 to Donald Nobles and Linda McCoy Douglas in Indio, California.

Rod loved to work hard and play even harder. He loved his family and friends, deer hunting, fishing, being a cowboy, dancing, laughing and riding his Harley Davidson. Rod was a self-employed talented carpenter that made a living for himself and his children for over 40 years. Rod was a loving son, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He will be truly missed by everyone who laughed and loved with him.

Rod is preceded in death by his mother.

Rod is survived by his father, Don Nobles of Conroe, Texas; his son, Zachary Nobles of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; his daughters and son in law, Maegan and Nathan Wright of Broken Bow, Oklahoma and Aarynne Cockrell of Pocatello, Idaho; brothers, Shannon Nobles of Houston, Texas and Chris Nobles of Bartow, Florida; sisters, Rashele Gammon of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Stephanie Nobles of Mount Vernon, Texas and Teri Nobles of Haworth, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Remington Minchew and Gunner Minchew of Eagletown, Oklahoma, Amiah Bass of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Georgia Wright of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Liam Whitworth, Caleb Whitworth and Matthew Whitworth all of Pocatello, Idaho; the woman he loved, Lynette Gammon and her granddaughter Lyla Braxton; nieces and nephews and a hoard of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at the Victory Life Church with Brother Jimmy Jeter officiating. Interment will follow at the Eagletown Cemetery under the direction of Brumley Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. No visitation is planned. Arrangements are entrusted to Brumley Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers will be Rory Cockrell, Derrik Cockrell, Clark Whitfield, Dustin Loving, Shannon Nobles and Tyler Nobles.
