Obituary

Delorse Jean Compton, of Golden, passed from this life October 9, 2020 at Paris Regional Hospital.  Delorse was born March 20, 1944 in Tom, OK, to Albert and Evelyn Mae (Loman) McDonald.

Delorse was affiliated with the Calvary Chapel Church in Paris, TX.  Delorse enjoyed crocheting, camping, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Her and J.C. (Cobb) Compton married March 19, 1966 in Broken Bow, OK.  They enjoyed a wonderful 48 years until his passing in 2014. 

Delorse was preceded in death by her loving husband, J.C.; parents, Albert and Evelyn McDonald; brother, Warren McDonald; and a sister, Martha Raley.

Delorse is survived by her children, Pamela Jones and Stacy, of Valliant, OK, and Kirk Compton and Christi, of Sumner, TX; grandchildren, Hailey Jones, of Valliant, OK, Cody Compton, and Kaitlynd, of Sumner, TX, and Cory Compton and Sydnee, of Reno, TX; great-grandchildren, Cason Allen Compton and Indee Jean Compton; brothers, Charles Ray McDonald and Brenda, of Broken Bow, OK, and Larry McDonald, also of Broken Bow, OK; sister, Nancy McCain, of Broken Bow, OK; several nieces and nephews; along with other relatives and many friends.

A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 2PM at the Watson Memorial Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday, October 16, 2020 from 9-5PM at the Brumley Funeral Home Chapel.
