Clara Mae Neal, originally from Broken Bow, passed from this life January 17, 2021 surrounded by her loving family in The Colony, TX. Clara was born August 28, 1934 in Broken Bow, to Henry Alford and Edna Easter (Gilley) Reid.
Clara was of the Baptist Faith and had lived in McCurtain County most of her life. She was a proud homemaker that loved to garden. She enjoyed reading, and always cherished her time with her family and friends.
She met the love of her life Thomas in Shreveport, LA, marrying him on February 6, 1954 in Broken Bow. They shared a wonderful 49 years together until his passing in 2003. They enjoyed traveling, making several day trips together, and being with their loving family.
Clara was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas; brothers, Raymond and Charlie Reid; and niece, Marie Reid.
Clara leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Robert Neal, and wife, Belinda, of The Colony, Thomas Neal, of The Colony, and Cheryl Neal, also of The Colony; grandchildren, Brandon Wise, of Little Elm, and Ashley Neal, of The Colony; great-grandchildren, Gillien and Olivia; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Theresa Stephens, of Broken Bow, and Sandy and Danny Keelin, of Broken Bow; along with a host of other relatives and many other friends.
A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be Friday, January 22, 2021 at 10AM, at the Broken Bow Cemetery with Pastor Randy Watkins officiating.
