Barbara Ann O'Roark

April 24, 1944 ~ April 27, 2020 (age 76)


Barbara Ann O’Roark, of Broken Bow, passed away surrounded by her loving family April 27, 2020 in Woodward, OK. Barbara was born April 24, 1944, in Los Angeles, CA, to Wilfred Ruben and Mabel Pauline Steenburgh.

Barbara was a member of the Church of God Church and had lived in McCurtain County for the last 10 years coming from California.  She enjoyed making flower arrangements, singing, and being with her children and grandchildren.  Barbara was known as a prankster and loved to have a good time. 

Barbara married the love of her life, Arvil Lee, November 10, 1960 in Modesto, CA, and they spent a wonderful 51 years together until his passing in 2011.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Arvil; her parents; son, Stephen Keck; three brothers; and a sister.

Barbara is survived by her son, Arvil “Buster” O’Roark Jr., and wife, Angie, of Woodward; daughters, LaDawn Self, and husband, Rick, of Cloudy, Sharene Keck, of Broken Bow, and Rebekah Sturgeon, and husband, James, of Modesto, CA; sisters, Willine Wagner, of Waterford, CA, Jean O’Roark, and husband, Fred, of Ceres, CA, and Vivian Kellerhals, and husband, Alton, of Porterville, CA; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and one on the way; several nieces and nephews; a host of other relatives and many friends.

A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be Saturday, May 2, 2020 at 2:00PM at the Cloudy Cemetery, Cloudy, OK, with Rev. Arvil O’Roark Jr. and Pastor Paul Hartley officiating.
