Alta Faye Waldon, age 82, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, died on Friday, December 17, 2021. She was born on Monday, May 29, 1939 in Wister, Oklahoma to her parents Woodrow and Francis Martin. Alta married her husband, Robert Waldon on Tuesday, April 3, 1962 and spent forty seven years together before his passing in 2009.
Alta Faye was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved her dog, Cowgirl. She was a member of the Community Baptist Church in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Alta loved God and enjoyed gospel music, her favorite song was "This World Is Not My Home". Everyone enjoyed eating her delicious fried chicken. Alta was a loving sister, grandmother, aunt and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.
Alta was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Francis Martin; her husband, Robert Waldon; and sons, Jimmy Waldon, Richard Waldon and Robin Waldon.
Alta is survived by brothers, Gary and Terri Martin of Granbury, Texas, Ross and Jill Martin of North Richland Hills, Texas; sisters, Terri Martin of Austin, Texas, Pamela and Leo Flores of Austin, Texas; daughter in law, Sandy Waldon of Granbury Texas; grandson, Hunter Waldon of Granbury Texas, and granddaughter, Whitney and Chris McLeod of Mansfield, Texas; great grandsons, Mason and Maddox McLeod of Mansfield, Texas; adopted son, Donald Imoe; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at the Eagletown Cemetery on Monday, December 27, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. with Brother Greg Parnell officiating. No visitation is planned. Arrangements are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
